Employment Opportunity

The Minitrail Center is looking to hire a painter. As part of our ongoing maintenance and upkeep, we are planning to paint the entry and the main room. Work needs to be completed before May 1, 2018 as we need to restrict access to the building during this renovation. We will purchase supplies and paint. If interested, please send us a quote for labor costs.

Deadline for quotes is February 1, 2018. Please share this information with anyone who may be interested.

lighthouse-logoWelcome to Mini-Trail Communities!

The Mini Trail is a portion of Route 337 that extends from Antigonish Landing along the shore of St. Georges Bay, then around Cape George Point to Malignant Cove where it intersects with Route 245. The Mini Trail winds along the edge of the ocean and provides spectacular views of the shoreline.

A drive along the Mini Trail takes you past Antigonish Landing with its wildlife sanctuary and walking trail, through Lanark with its green hills and modern dairy farms. Driving further, at Harbour Centre you can access the Fairmont hiking trail. Mahoney’s Beach and Jim town began as summer communities, but now many residents remain year round where they can enjoy the ocean in all its moods. Morristown, Lakevale, Cape George, Ballantynes Cove, and Livingstone’s Cove are all active fishing communities. The wharves at Cribbons Point, Ballantynes Cove, and Livingstone’s Cove are centers of activity in the spring and summer months. At Cape Georges Point, you can stop and visit the historic lighthouse. Morar, Georgeville, and Malignant Cove with their rugged scenery complete the route.
