The Mini-Trail is a portion of Route 337 that extends from Antigonish Landing along the shore of St. George's Bay, then around Cape George Point to Malignant Cove where it intersects with Route 245. The Mini-Trail winds along the edge of the ocean and provides spectacular views of the shoreline.
A drive along the Mini-Trail takes you past Antigonish Landing with its wildlife sanctuary and walking trail, through Lanark with its green hills and modern dairy farms. Driving further, at Harbour Centre you can access the Fairmont hiking trail. Mahoney’s Beach and Jim town began as summer communities, but now many residents remain year round where they can enjoy the ocean in all its moods. Morristown, Lakevale, Cape George, Ballantyne's Cove, and Livingstone’s Cove are all active fishing communities. The wharves at Cribbons Point, Ballantyne's Cove, and Livingstone’s Cove are centers of activity in the spring and summer months. At Cape George Point, you can stop and visit the historic lighthouse. Morar, Georgeville, and Malignant Cove with their rugged scenery complete the route.
